My daughter is starting her 13th year of dance. The last eight of those years have been spent at TDW.  TDW provides a supportive and  nurturing atmosphere not only with dance but academics as well.  The teachers are all professionally trained and are not students teaching students. I would highly recommend TDW to anyone.

My daughter Lauren has been dancing for 8 years now. This is her second year with TDW. Her experience has been wonderful. She came looking for a supportive, caring environment one she could advance in and found so much more. The opportunities for the more serious dancer are endless. Also, being apart of the Tecumseh Dance Theatre Company not only provides her with more education, but encourages all the dancers to be supportive of each other and work together as a team. When we moved to Tecumseh eleven years ago from Ann Arbor, we were concerned about the community’s artistic offerings for our young children.  That was before we met the incredibly nurturing teaching staff at Tecumseh Dance Workshop.

TDW offers kids of all different shapes, sizes and levels of talent a place to come together and be amazing.  The spring recitals have to be seen to be believed.

At TDW, our children have been encouraged to express themselves as young artists.  They have been taught how to expect more of themselves and have experienced the great feeling of accomplishing a challenging, yet achievable goal.  Whether it’s learning a dance technique safely and properly by a top-notch instructor, or receiving a supportive hug on a tough day, TDW has been a positive force in our children’s development.  Tecumseh is lucky to be home to such an impressive studio.

This is our 8th year with TDW and I would like to take a few minutes to thank Mrs K. and her devoted staff, Rhea Kupisz, Deena Bryan and Joe Briggs for all of the direction, love and support  they have given to both of my daughters, Kelsi and Rachel.  TDW has been an instrumental part in their lives; it is like a second home for us.  They have helped mold my daughters into the young ladies they are today. I appreciate the structure and discipline that TDW offers their students and have been impressed with how it has helped my girls thrive and develop in their talent throughout the years. Since we have been members of the studio, there has been much growth, including the exposure the students have to a wide variety of dance techniques from Ballet to Hip Hop, as well as RAD for those who are interested in further Ballet training.  The professionalism of the staff and the public venues that our dancers perform in are second to none.

Through TDW, Kelsi and Rachel have acquired life long lessons, including the hard work learned in their weekly lessons, and the dedication and effort it takes to perform in front of an audience.  Not only has TDW exposed my girls to the art of dance, it has given them valuable skills and reinforced the need to work hard to both set and achieve their goals in life.  An excellent example is their fund raising efforts to defray the incidental costs for such things as carefully selected competitions.  The studio's multifaceted offerings, their flexibility with our busy schedules and their willingness to explore new ideas such as the 2006 Summer Intensive have further confirmed my decision to come to TDW as one that will make a positive impact on my daughters and their future.  I can't thank everyone enough at TDW for all they have done for us, including the great outpouring and generosity of Mrs K, Joe Briggs, Deena Bryan, Rhea Kupisz, TDTC and all of the dancers and their parents from TDW for their emotional and financial support to help Kelsi attend a world class ballet school - The 2006 Midwest Joffrey Workshop this past summer.  Kelsi and Rachel have made life long friendships not only with studio members but dancers from other studios as well, and I have enjoyed watching them blossom into the dancers they are today.

The staff emphasis for our dancers is on their performance and not competitions where we have seen the "canned"  productions and dances that are not age appropriate.  Our students stand out as artists and I am proud to have them represent our studio and community everywhere TDW performs.  Based on everything Kelsi, Rachel and I have experienced at TDW, it solidifies our decision to be part of the TDW family and makes us proud to be associated with such a wonderful studio.
